Third field test at the final review meeting at CRESThe third demo at CRES during the final project review meeting was successfully carried out on 14/05/2019, and was witnessed by the EC project officer. 06 August 2019
Second field trial test at CRES, GreeceOur second field trial test at CRES was successful. It gave us a first definitive positive result demonstrating that our overall system is working. Congratulation to everyone in the team, and especially to IKH and LSBIC who have made the platform and vacuum based end-effector working in the sky. 06 August 2019

Suspended test demonstrates that the whole system is workingA fully suspended test has been performed in TWI's optical lab. During the test, a sucking robot which carried the shearography was firmly attached to a wind turbine blade sample which stood vertically on an optical table. Good shearography fringe patterns were acquired. 21 March 2017
Oscillation Measurement on Wind Turbine BladeOne of the main challenges of inspecting a wind turbine blade on site, using a laser-based technique like shearography is coping with the oscillation of the blade in a windy environment. 22 December 2016
Wind Energy WorkshopJianxin Gao (TWI) attended a workshop The Wind Energy Sector a European Challenge in Barcelona, 21-22 November 2016. He presented the R&D work in the previous DashWin project on wind turbine blade inspection on site using shearography with a robotic deployment platform. 22 December 2016
Second Progress MeetingThe second progress meeting was held in TWI, UK 17-18 November 2016. All partners attended, with the progresses and future plan being reviewed and discussed. 22 December 2016
Kick off meetingThe kick-off meeting was held on 1 March 2016 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. All the five project partners as well as the EC project officer attended the meeting during which comprehensive issues were discussed and project work in the coming months were planned. 26 July 2016
